Our client: The Golden Boot is a true Kent institution – the longest-running, family-owned, independent shoe shop in the UK, dating back to 1790. Seven generations of shoemakers have shaped the Golden Boot into the highly respected institution it is today.
Once a single site in Maidstone, Kent, the Golden Boot has seen great success and has expanded to occupy eight residences today, including the original site. With a passion for innovative store design (you should see the train track running through the children’s shop!), unique products and world-class customer service, the Golden Boot continues to stand out from today’s homogenised high street.
Our task: The Golden Boot are committed to limit their environmental impact by working with the responsible brands that they stock, along with a strong ‘reuse and recycle’ ethos where possible. They came to Fleet Luxury seeking to move away from using plastic bags and toward sustainable alternatives. Our experience in developing expertly tailored, premium solutions using the most sustainable materials meant that we were trusted by the Golden Boot to create superb, affordable packaging that remained faithful to their company’s ethos.
Our solution: The beautiful new packaging is made from certified 100% recycled uncoated paper, embellished with recyclable foil and then finished with water-based glues. With refined cotton handles, this whole bag is fully recyclable.
